Business Appreciation Month

Today and all month, we honor all businesses during Business Appreciation Month:

Dear Prince William County Businesses,

New York Times best-selling author, H. Jackson Brown, Jr. wrote “When you can’t change the direction of the wind — adjust your sails.” Now, as much as any other time in history, the winds of change have shifted lives and businesses; and the time to adjust your business and adapt to a new reality is right now. The Prince William County Department of Economic Development recognizes your need to move quickly and our staff is dedicated to assisting you in these challenging times and to facilitating your business success.

Notwithstanding our rocky start to 2020, we are working with federal and state authorities as well as the Prince William Board of County Supervisors to find effective business solutions and to ultimately achieve renewed economic momentum. Whether your business is open and on the front lines; operating in a limited way; or shut-down for the duration of the quarantine, we want you to know that hope is ahead as our team works to identify resources for every business here.

As you may be aware, May is Business Appreciation Month in Virginia, and we wanted to take this opportunity to let you know how thankful we are that you are located here in Prince William County. Throughout the month, we will be conducting a campaign recognizing businesses like yours and the invaluable contribution you make to our community. Whether it is in your daily operations or whether you’ve pivoted your business model to battle the virus, your business has a purpose and a vital role to play in Prince William County. Be sure to check our website and social media channels for profiles of exemplary local businesses. By all means, if you have an inspiring story of your own that you’d like us to share, please do not hesitate to contact us.

If you have questions or need assistance, email us at [email protected] or call at 703-792-5510 or 703-850-0140. We will continue to bring you more information and resources as and when we receive them. Continue to monitor our website for information on COVID-19 business resources and be sure to sign-up for email updates from PWC Economic Development.

Until next time, be safe, stay the course, and remember, we’re here to help.
