Prince William County Congratulates MAG Aerospace on Receiving the 2017 Washington SmartCEO Future 50 Award

February 21, 2017 - Prince William County, Va. – Prince William County congratulates two-time award winner, MAG Aerospace, a recognized leader in global aerial surveillance and situational awareness services, on receiving the 2017 Washington SmartCEO Future 50 award.

According to SmartCEO, the Future 50 Awards program recognizes the region’s fastest growing,     mid-sized companies in the Washington D.C. Metro Area. The companies represent the future of the region’s economy and embody the entrepreneurial spirit critical for leadership and success.  The winners are chosen based on a three-year average of employee and revenue growth and are profiled in SmartCEO magazine.

Joe Fluet, CEO and Founder, MAG Aerospace attributes MAG’s success to their corporate culture and entrepreneurial spirit.  Fluet says, “In a services company, people are your product.  MAG’s growth also has been fueled by a willingness to take risks.  Risk takers gather all available information, identify risks, mitigate them to the extent possible, and go forward accepting the risks that remain.”

The award also comes on the heels of MAG Aerospace being recognized in the Washington Business Journal’s 2017 Book of List, as being among the top 50 fastest growing companies in the Washington, DC region.  Prior to this, MAG Aerospace received GovCon’s Contractor of the Year Award in the $25 - $75 million category, which is given to acknowledge “distinguished financial and operational accomplishments and outstanding contributions during the past year to employees, the government contracting industry and the U.S. Government.”  MAG Aerospace also holds the 2016 Commonwealth of Virginia Governor’s Award of Excellence in International Trade.
