MEDIA STATEMENT

September 16, 2019 – Prince William County, Va. – Prince William County Department of Economic Development, Executive Director, Christina Winn is pleased to represent Prince William County, the second largest and fourth fastest growing County in Virginia, as one of the ten jurisdictions that have come together to form the Northern Virginia Economic Development Alliance (NOVA EDA)

The following is a statement from Christina Winn:

“I am delighted for this monumental step forward and so glad that Prince William County will add its strength to propel Northern Virginia forward.

As the lead in Arlington and the brand ‘National Landing’ for the Amazon HQ2 process I saw first-hand what the strength regional collaboration, marketing and promoting can offer.  As a result, Northern Virginia is home to one of the largest economic projects in the nation.

Today marks a new chapter and Prince William County will be a major player at the table.  As the second largest and fourth fastest growing County in Virginia, we are the region’s ‘workforce engine’ and offer the most abundant land available, across 348 square miles.

“The case for Northern Virginia is proven.  The NOVA EDA will help realize our shared goal of increased business investment attracting highly-skilled, knowledge-based research and technology jobs for the country’s most educated workforce and largest pool of highly trained military veterans.

We look forward to collaborative working relationships with our neighboring jurisdictions and are committed to NOVA EDA’s success.”
