Workforce

Prince William County has a unique advantage over most of the National Capital Region in that 75% of the Northern Virginia workforce lives within a 30-minute rush-hour commute. That equates to much shorter commute times, and reduced car miles traveled.

Many federal employees and contractors reside in the outer suburbs, and must either make long commutes or drive to metro stations in order to access public transportation. Most of those employees commute from or through Prince William County. By locating a facility in Prince William County, those employees are off the roads much sooner, and have a significantly shorter commute time. Those employees living inside the beltway, while they will travel further distances, have the luxury of a much faster and more fuel efficient reverse commute.

With the ability to offer shorter commutes to those employees in the suburbs and reverse commutes to those employees nearer the beltway, Prince William County is positioned to provide greater access to the highly skilled workforce with federal security clearances that reside in the Greater Washington region.
