Construction underway on two new buildings at Innovation Technology Park

Cranes and construction crews are hard at work this winter in Innovation Technology Park with two new facilities underway.

The headquarters building for Rinker Design and NAL Research is well underway at Innovation Technology Park.
Construction of George Mason University's new residential facility is now underway near the Hylton Performing arts center on thier Prince William Campus in Innocation Technology Park,

The new 45,000 sqaure foot class A office building that will serve as the shared headquarters for Rinker Design Associates (RDA) and NAL Research is beginning  to take shape. The facility will be completed by the summer of 2012, at which time RDA will occupy the building.

According to representatives of both companies, they look forward to their new home in one of the region’s premier business and technology parks. "For a high-tech company like NAL, there really is no better place to be headquartered," said Ngoc Hoang, President of NAL Corporation.

"We believe being headquartered in this location will help propel our company to new and exciting business opportunities and help us better serve our existing clientele" said Edward "Jeb" Snider, Jr., President of Rinker Design Associates, P.C.

At the same time, one of two new facilities recently announced by George Mason University is already under construction. The 106,000 square foot residential building will include 152 apartment style beds in 112 units, student lounge areas, study areas and instructional space. The building will also include 15,000 square feet of retail space that will "expand amenities to the campus and surrounding community" and mark the "first step in creating [the] adjacent town center," according to the University.

The facility carries a projected cost of $14 million and is slated for completion in late summer, 2012.
