LDC Announces Location of Headquarters in Prince William County

April 18, 2011, Prince William County, Virginia - Land Design Consultants (LDC), a full-service land planning, civil engineering and surveying company, has announced its intent to locate in Prince William County. The company’s headquarters will occupy 9,000 square feet in a new 17,000 square-foot class A office building at Reid’s Prospect. The company employs 27 people, and has invested a total of $3.5m in the project.

“The Prince William Board of County Supervisors is pleased to welcome LDC,” said Cory Stewart, Chairman of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors. “On behalf of the entire community, we wish to congratulate them on their new headquarters location.”

“The County looks forward to continuing to work with LDC as they continue their growth in the future” said Stewart.

“Locating at Reid’s Prospect was attractive for LDC due to the development’s central location and quick access the Prince William Parkway, 234, I-95 and I-66. Our new facility will allow us to better serve our clients and employee base,” said Matt Marshall, LDC’s President.  “The proximity to the government center is an enormous asset as well due to the volume of plans that we permit through the County.”

LDC partnered with The Long Company of Virginia to construct the new building. The building was built with 50% of the space considered speculatively. The company’s headquarters will occupy the second floor. The first floor is comprised of five units and four of the five are currently under contract for sale.

“Due to the success of this building, a sister building that will approach 30,000 square feet has begun the permit process,” said Marshall. The Long Company of Virginia will serve as the developer for this building as well, with LDC providing the engineering services.
