Prince William County, VA – On August 25 Governor Bob McDonnell spent the morning meeting with members of the business community, members of the Board of County Supervisors and County staff.
At the invitation of Delegate Luke Torian, representatives from the County’s offices of Economic Development and Transportation discussed the ways that the Commonwealth and the County can work together to promote job growth, business expansion and business attraction. Dr. Hill, of Northern Virginia Community College Woodbridge Campus, also discussed the proposed Workforce Development Center at the Northern Virginia Community College Woodbridge Campus and the positive impact it would hold for economic development in the County.
“The purpose of the meeting was to allow some of our elected officials and development staff members to meet with the governor to show him some of the exciting things that are happening in Prince William County,” Delegate Torian told Keith Walker of the News and Messenger.
I think he really took it as an opportunity to hear from us,” said Occoquan District supervisor Mike May, who was in attendance at the meeting.
